Personal Comment: As said in the video. I just came back from actually doing this to real people... It's killer. In book YOU take out a corner for verification. I did not. In this version the corner is left by accident. Which I think makes it much less suspicious as "proof" of magic, I think. Anyway, the original version uses no "devils handkerchief" and is fairly practical. I recommend checking it out. The routine is not "too" creative. It breaks no new ground, but it plays well.

Personal Comment: Talk about waste.... but here is when to do this. This is a perfect encore trick. The sort of thing if they ask you to do one more trick. You got yours scissors from that rope trick that you did and the deck is missing cards anyway. Why take them with you again? Do that trick and be done with the cards. This is so off the beaten path that it can hardly be compared to other card tricks. Therefore it is a great encore trick.

Personal Comment: Uh boy, this is bad. Not as bad as The Torn as Restored Routine by Blake Vogt, but still pretty bad. In Close-Up Fantasies the lead in to this trick is that Paul says that he originally thought this would be a "good stand alone one trick seller", that the basic modus operandi was so freaking new and original that this would justify being sold individually. When reading this it comes across as a gracious gift by him to include this in Close-Up Fantasies. What a load of BS.... it sucks.

If you wanna know a really, really good Torn and Restored trick... Drawing Room Deceptions is your choice. More about that later.

Personal Comment: This is certainly a great addition to Hoodwink, also by Ben Harris. I personally think that Ben Harris is the king of half baked ideas. Fortunately it take little effort to turn those ideas into great magic. (that leaves me wondering why Ben Harris doesn't do that little effort to begin with) But Wink Wink is good. There are several ways to end this. I like the above version with the switch near the end.
